ABOUT US

We are a young family who loves God and the outdoors. We are constantly headed out to hunt or spend time with family and the dogs. Bird hunting has been in both Scotty and Caity's families for all of their lives. Scotty's has guided hunters and trained many dogs for the field. Scotty and his family have raised different pointing and flushing breeds so he has some knowledge up his sleeve. They raised dogs for their family preserve when he was a kid. Scotty had many duties and was in charge of a lot of tasks on the preserve and home/kennel. Raising puppies hasn't been the only thing he was passionate about but also the training that went into raising a dog that could be used for clients and his own hunting.

Caity has had the blessing of growing up with Brittany's as well and has a passion for training dogs and horses. Caity had training for dog showing as a kid, went bird hunting with her family, and was always doing self-taught dog training for agility, etc.. Caity grew up showing horses and later on trained horses for clients and also gave riding lessons for about 15 years. Her knowledge in training and showing horses competitively has transferred easily into training dogs and helping her girls take part in learning and training as well.

Raising and training dogs isn't our full-time job, but we love what we do and believe experience, education, time, and love is what makes our dogs successful. With many years under our belt we believe in breeding to better the breed and love the breeds that we have had the pleasure to own. We take bringing new lives into this world seriously and want nothing but the best for our pups. Over the years we have constantly strived to improve our program to do what is best for our dogs as well as the pups they produce. Health testing being the most important as well as developing a hunting dog that will strive in different environments. We know that not everyone hunts as much as we do so breeding for well-rounded dogs has been our goal. We hope we can guide anyone who purchases a HBGD to succeed in and out of the field.

We raise our litters inside the home and make sure our dogs have the best of care. Exercise and "real life" living instead of kennel type raising is what we prefer. We have dog proofed our property to make sure our dogs are the safest they can be while still living a fun and healthy lifestyle with alot of love and attention. Our three daughters take a big part in raising our pups and adult dogs. They have handled each pup at birth, have socialized them, exposed them to real life situations safely. They have taken part in weighing newborn pups, and caring for them daily. They also are a big part in training our adult dogs for dock diving, agility, basic obedience, and are a big help with routine vet checkups, etc. 

We've been blessed to have our dogs hunt on GunDogTV & American Birdhunter on the Outdoor Channel for many years.  We love sharing this passion as a family and can't wait to pass our knowledge down from generation to generation.
